I am a Professional Declutterer and Organiser and I live in the vibrant coastal town of Eastbourne. I offer practical help to people who want to lead a clutter free and organised life.

I used to work in Further Education Colleges teaching and leading teams, which has given me a lot of experience in helping people achieve their goals. Balancing a full time job and a busy household made me appreciate the benefits of having what I needed to hand. If you visited my house on an average day it wouldn’t be immaculate but I would know where everything is.

Moving is a stressful experience but the good news is I can make it less stressful for you. Decluttering before you move will mean less to pack and will save you time and money. I can help bring order to bedrooms, kitchens and living areas after you have moved in.
Getting the unpacking process right first time will avoid wasted hours trying to find things or re-organising cupboards and wardrobes later on.

Agree the date of your first session and a time frame.
I will work with you to declutter and organise the agreed areas of your house and/or office. My advice and guidance is given in good faith and it is your decision whether you follow the advice. You accept responsibility for any items that leave your home and/or office. Some of your possessions may be rare and high in value but I am not a specialist in this area and cannot provide advice with regards to their market or insurance value.
Whilst I will always handle your possessions with great care and consideration accidents may happen. I shall not be liable for damage or losses and ask that you have appropriate and current insurance policies that compensate you adequately.
I hold a public liability and professional indemnity insurance of £1 million.
I will work with you to achieve the goals we have discussed during the initial consultation. The decluttering process may involve moving things around and indeed some light cleaning, which I am happy to assist with but I am unable to help with moving heavy items of furniture/appliances.
Included in my hourly rate is the removal of up to 6 bin liners of possessions for drop off to a charity shop but I cannot remove waste and recycling as I do not hold a waste license.
When we have agreed the date and time of the first session an initial 50% deposit will be required to secure my services. By paying this deposit you are agreeing to my terms and conditions.
This can be paid at the initial consultation or when you have received an email confirming what we have agreed during the consultation.
I will cancel or rearrange the session time if the deposit is not paid 14 days prior to the agreed date/time. The remaining balance is payable on completion of the session for which a receipt will be provided. Subsequent sessions may not require a deposit however full payment must be made on the day.
On late payment I reserve the right to charge interest as stated in The Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998.
I accept payment in cash and via BACS.
We both have the right to cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances. If two days notice is given I can reschedule. If you cancel 48 hours or less before the session I will keep the 50% deposit at my discretion.
If I cancel I will try and give as much notice as possible and reschedule at your convenience. If a suitable alternative date cannot be arranged I will refund your deposit in full.
If I arrive at your house or office on the day of the booked session and you are not there I will invoice for the full session amount and any travel expenses incurred. If access at the property prohibits me from doing what has been agreed I reserve the right to invoice you for the full session amount and any travel expenses incurred.
I take your privacy and right to confidentiality extremely seriously and will never divulge your information to third parties. By inviting me into your home or office I may see confidential information, in fact this is quite likely given the nature of my services. However, I will never share this information with third parties and will not discuss your house or office with anybody.
Before and after photos are useful to see how much you have achieved and I may ask to use these photos as part of my marketing. If I wanted to do this I would always ask and of course you would reserve the right to decline the request.
Similarly testimonials are useful for my website but I would only use photos and testimonials with your permission and no personal details would need to be used.
